Friends Cricket Club 1983

1983 was the glorious year in the history of Indian cricket when Indian brave hearts conquered the cricketing world. Better known as Kapils Dare Devils, they inspired a young and vibrant group of youngsters to start a cricketing club by the name of FCC 1983. This club flourished in the late 1980s and early 1990s with various glorious victories to their name in the cricketing circle of Ernakulum district and surroundings. That vibrant group today without losing the charisma of those golden yester years, still cherish their sporting spirit for the new generation today by promoting sports events for the youth, which is going to change the entire sporting scenario in and around Kerala and its surroundings.

The true sportsman always keeps his spirit live and searches for more and more creative ventures for the benefit of mankind. The almighty God gave them a chance to prove their selfless service to humanity in the form of floods which affected the state of Kerala in the months of August 2018. An unrelentless effort by the FCC members in the flood affected areas of Aluva and Parur taluks was a true example of selfless charity. It was the same old spirit of the Kapils Dare Devils which gave FCC 1983 the fighting motivation to lift the morale of the flood affected people by visiting them and helping them with food, clothes and shelter.

We this team of FCC 1983, are committed to encourage sports and cultural activities to the next generation and to serve mankind. FCC 1983 is a non profit organisation which has its promotional office at Kaloor and is governed by an experienced committee headed by a president and office bearers. We the members at FCC 1983 are committed and ready for new challenges which can be a turning point in the annals of history in the coming years to come.
